The Divide

Release: TBA 2011

Starring: Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), Michael Biehn (Terminator, Aliens, Grindhouse, Planet Terror, everything!), Lauren German (Hostel: Part II)

Plot: In the near future, New York City is destroyed by an apocalyptic event; eight survivors hide in the basement of their large apartment building which has now been reduced to rubble. Later after settling in, a team of armed men in HAZMAT suits come into their shelter and attack the survivors who were thinking that they were the rescue team. After realising that the men in HAZMAT suits are hostile, the survivors must find another way to escape as well as maintain their own sanity in order to survive.

Thoughts: Not too much has been released about this film though it was shown at the SXSW film festival recently.  There are some reviews floating out there and so far it sounds promising and gruesome in what happens to a few of the characters.  I feel like there will definitely be some surprises.  The Divide is a post-apocalyptic thriller revolving around a group of survivors.  Nothing like being trapped with people you can’t trust.  That won’t get messy.  Oh wait, yes, it will.

About Tiney

Crazy Japanese school girl? Close, but not so much. More like crazy Chinese editor-turned-writer who may or may not have a couple of Japanese school uniforms in her closet. Tiney's hobbies include playing video games, sewing and costuming, crocheting miniature Cthulhus, and preparing for the coming zombie apocalypse. If you get cornered... bash them in the head, that seems to work.
