She started the Mad Artists Tea Party – a UK-based group of culinary creatives.
In October of 2010, they set up a cake shop called the Eat Your Heart Out & The PRETOX Potion… and then it was gone in a heartbeat. It was a pop-up shop event lasting from October 28 to October 31. And what a shop it was.
Completely edible. Morbid yet yummy.
The Eat Your Heart Out & PRETOX Potion showcased some of the the most amazing eerie edibles and bloody bites at the quirky London store called Maiden.
Since then, this group has made human heart cupcakes for the London Dungeon on Valentine’s Day, created cakes to benefit Japan, and celebrated the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
So what’s next? The world’s first anatomically correct edible autopsy. A human cake will be made with detailed body parts inside and out ending with a public cake autopsy full of blood and guts! And they’re doing it for charity too! The Edible Autopsy is set for September 29-30, 2011.
