I was first introduced to Delirium Dog‘s sinister sounds during my 2010 adventure as a scare-actor with Pittsburgh’s Scarehouse. Delirium Dog’s “haunting post-industrial electronica” pulsed through the creepy-ass psychedelic trip of a haunt Delirium 3-D. The mind-bending tunes really complemented the haunt in all its colorful black-light glory. And let me tell you, after walking through Delirium multiple times - my brain will never be the same . . .![scarehouse_CD600G [Converted]](http://www.gorestruly.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/dd_scarehouse_cover_lg-291x300.jpg)
Originally created for The Scarehouse®, one of best haunted attractions in America, this music is scary yet sexy, dangerous and danceable, and definitely rocking! The brain child of songwriter, composer, and sound effects artist Glenn Ricci, many have said Delirium Dog’s music would be more at home in a dance club than a haunted house.

Glenn Ricci: The Man Behind the Madness
Yeah, a twisted and creeptastic dance club! Fortunately, for those music-minded readers who are interested in enjoying some electronic frightscapes, Delirium Dog’s tunes aren’t restricted to the Scarehouse. You can listen at Soundcloud and also purchase tracks on iTunes.

The Vortex!
A couple months ago, Delirium Dog took a poll on Facebook to decide the title for the new album. Fever Brain Battery won the contest. According to Glenn, though some of the tracks on the new album have been heard within the Scarehouse walls, the intention is for the music to stand on its own outside of Halloween and haunted attraction contexts. However, he assures that Fever Brain Battery “will still be dark, colorful, and mostly danceable.”
Glenn’s fondness for the darker genre runs through his blood. In fact, his uncle Richard and cousins Mark and Rudy Ricci worked with none other than Mr. George A. Romero on various productions over the years. A fun side fact is that in Night of the Living Dead, the zombie in the scene that gets shot twice, keeps coming, and is then the first in history to go down with a head shot is Glenn’s uncle.
Aside from the horror influences running through his blood, Glenn also draws inspiration from many different artists ranging from Skinny Puppy to David Bowie to Tom Waits to Rob Zombie. No wonder his music is richly diverse and exciting! Delirium Dog currently has one album out (The Scarehouse) but will be releasing a NEW album on July 29, 2011! If you are a Facebook follower, you’ll have the chance to hear it much sooner online!
Twisted, fun, electric, and a little creepy, Delirium Dog’s sinister sounds could certainly fit right in a haunted attraction, spooky theme party, sexy dark dance night, or just something to add to your personal playlist!
