As you may know – we here at Gores Truly are ridiculously excited (albeit hesitant) about the upcoming remake of Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead. Just yesterday, the actor filling in the film’s lead (the “not-Ash”) was announced – Shiloh Fernandez (Deadgirl and Red Riding Hood) is about to step into some big shoes.
But no worries – as most of you already know, “Ash” will not be returning. Rather, a new name for the new anti-hero will be given – and all bets are off in the cabin in the woods battle against the deadites.
Details:
AshHero – The hero, sibling to Mia, married to the hot chick.Mia – David’s sister, reeling over the death of her and David’s mother, and trying to kick her drug habit.
Eric – David’s friend, cocky as all hell.
The siblings, lovers, and friends head out to that infamous cabin in the woods when a huge storm forces them indoors. Eric finds the Necronomicon and proceeds to encourage the reading of passages from it (thanks a lot, jerkface). Then? Mia begins to lose her shit. They all just assume it’s a throwback of her weaning off the junk – especially when she claims trees are attacking her – but needless to say? It doesn’t take the group long to realize there is something in the woods.
