Thoughts: Children are scary. Roving gangs of feral children are really scary. The Irish film Citadel has been pretty well received at SXSW. However, Aneurin Barnard’s strung out 12-year-old look may make his terrified father role hard to buy and more frustrating to watch than freakish feral children are scary. But that remains to be seen until Citadel reaches a wider audience.
