Release: August 24, 2012
Starring: Ashley Greene, Sebastian Stan, and Tom Felton
Director & Writer: Todd Lincoln
Plot: When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural, Patrick (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force and death.
Thoughts: I hope this movie is good. The trailer makes it look good, though I wonder if it gives too much away. It definitely has all the basic elements of a horror movie and then some, including what looks like the Asian ghost archetype? I’m not sure. And then I fear maybe it won’t be good because maybe it’s trying too hard. But! I’m excited about the cast, mostly Sebastian Stan and Tom Felton. Ashley Greene is most well known for her role in the Twilight movies but I haven’t seen any of Twilight movies and I probably never will so I’m indifferent towards her. I guess we’ll see.
