Happy Horror Days! – 4th of July

Happy Independence Day! What better way to celebrate it than cooking up some dead animal, throwing back a few, lighting things on fire, and? Watching a 4th of July themed horror flick! AMERICA!

So to help you out – check out some of our favorite 4th of July horror films below and have yourself a safe and fun July 4th.

Uncle Sam

Let’s preface this with – Uncle Sam is a TERRIBLE movie. One of those so bad it’s good ones. Sam Harper, a totally insane douchebag, dies in Desert Storm. And then? Comes back from the dead to punish everyone who he deems un-American. Don’t pay your taxes? Dead. Don’t know the words to the American National Anthem? Dead.

So sit back, relax with some good BBQ, and be prepared for some serious ridiculousness with Uncle Sam.

So it’s Summer. It’s hot.  But… you may want to stay out of the water. Especially if you live on Amity Island.

Jaws is a horror classic. And if you haven’t seen it? July 4th is the perfect time. And if you have? Then you’re probably always ready to watch it again. Because honestly who could ever get sick of the ass-kicking trio that is Quint, Bordy, and Matt Hooper?

Return Of The Living Dead

If you want to get technical about it – Return Of The Living Dead took place on July 3rd. But considering that would be considered July 4th eve, and the movie ended in “fireworks,” we totally consider this an Independence Day flick.

Return Of The Living Dead is arguably one of the top zombie movies ever made. It changed the zombie genre for an entire generation (Fact: zombies want “brains” because of this movie). And? It’s cheeseball and inspired numerous over-the-top zom-coms decades later.

Join Trash, Burt, Frank, Tina, and more over-the-top characters as they try to survive the zombie apocalypse.
