Do you love Dinosaurs? Are you as obsessed with Jurassic Park as some of us are? *cough* Me *cough* Well then, buddy, do we have some news for you!!!
In late-July, Ludia games released the all-new Jurassic Park Builder game for most Apple iDevices (iPhones, iPads, iTouchs, etc.). While not exactly scary, if you’re any fan of the JP series – you’ll enjoy creating your own Jurassic Park and filling it with as many dinosaurs from the movies and books as humanly possible. If you have a next-gen device (iPad 2 or 3, iPhone 4S) – this sucker is gorgeous. 
The biggest gripe that I’ve had so far is that just like most Apps with in-game purchases, some of the cooler dinosaurs are only available if you save up JP Dollars for 30 years… or cave-in and make an in-game purchase with real money.
I should not have to spend $50 of real cash in order to have a Tyrannosaur in my Jurassic Park, dagnabbit. *pout* But never fear – there are other carnivorous critters in the game which don’t require real-cash purchase – and they look just as nifty when you evolve them. So don’t let the in-game purchase nonsense drive you away. Plenty of fun still to be had!

If you like your games a little more… terrifying… then I thoroughly and completely recommend TellTale Games‘ Jurassic Park. Just like their spectacular The Walking Dead series, the Jurassic Park game is an episodic new story woven into the existing Jurassic Park film storyline. You play as island workers and a band of (maybe?) mercenaries as you try to survive on the island while all Hell is breaking loose.

Currently up to Episode 5, this is no game for the little kiddies. Bad things can – and DO – happen. If you don’t react fast enough with your swipes or moves, your character will get eaten. And I *do* mean EATEN. These dinosaurs don’t care if you’re a loving Daddy, a pre-teen girl, or some merc jerkwad… they’ll eat your face and tear you limb from limb.

If you don’t have a SmartDevice – never fear, Jurassic Park the Game is also available for PC or Mac. Take a look yourself – both games offer loads of fun, surprises, and more dinosaurs than you can shake a can of Barbisol at. This should keep a few of us busy until they announce more movies!!! *fingers crossed* ”Clever Girl”
