Jason Voorhees returns to Camp Crystal Lake in Friday the 13th Game

It’s official. Jason Voorhees is coming back to video games – the first time in 1989. Wes Keltner and Ronnie Hobbs have finally secured licencing for their summer camp horror game, once a nod to Jason, now a full-out official game. And even more exciting news? You’ll actually be able to play as Jason Voorhees himself.

Friday the 13th will be a multiplayer game where one person is Jason and the others are camp counselors at Camp Crystal Lake. Of course each one of these counselors fits the stereotypical character bill (the punk, the sports nut). The point of the game? Well if you’re the counselor it’s to not get killed.

If you’re Jason? Well, do as he does best. Slash them all down.

It’s slated for release on multiple platforms including Xbox One, Play Station and PC.

Check out the trailer below and if this sounds like something you’d like to play? Head over to their Kickstarter and help them raise the funding they need to make this the best horror game EVER.
