The Mist (2017)

Stephen King’s The Mist is being adapted for television and after the first official trailer from Spike? We couldn’t be more thrilled that 2017 is truly the year for King fans.

Unlike the novel and the 2007 film with arguably the best twist ending to a modern film in ages, the television show will move beyond the grocery store and focus on the turmoil and panic of other groups of individuals hiding from the mysterious mist and that which lives within in. The most frightening part of The Mist wasn’t necessarily the unknown monsters, but the monsters within us all. The Mist airs on Spike starting June 22nd.

Official Synopsis: Based on a story by Stephen King, Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down. THE MIST stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy.
