Meet the MurderHers

Friday, August 13th, 2010 – serendipitously inspired by the day – five friends decided there just wasn’t enough fem-driven horror sites on the internet. So to amend that we formed GoresTruly.com, a web site dedicated to everything well - horror. Movies, conventions, costumes, literature, comics and more.

Meg

Blond, bold, and brainy. Already scared aren’tcha? When Meg’s not book learnin’ or arguing the anatomy of zombies – she’s probably in the ocean, watching star trek, or forcing everyone around her to endure horror moviethons. Bruce Campbell? Her personal demigod. Costuming, comics, charity work, college, and a kidlet take up most of her time. But seriously, who needs sleep when you’re training the future generation of nerd? With great power comes great responsibility…..or something.

De7en

Don’t let the day job fool you, this computer consultant knows the Ooky Spooky. She was weaned by Jaws, went through puberty with Carrie, and entered adulthood hand-in-glove with Freddy. From foreign frights and classic cuts to gallons of gore and more, De7en is always ready to dig up something fresh.

Boris

Paralegal by day, Murder-Her by night. She enjoys reading, writing, traveling, performing, roller derby, and costuming in addition to immersing herself in a variety of horrific worlds via literature, art, video games, comics, music, haunted attractions, and cinematic adventures. From zombies to slashers, creature features to B-movies, and psychological thrillers to supernatural stories, Boris is into many different subgenres of horror.

Ash Wednesday

Some say the pen is mightier than the sword. Ash Wednesday believes so, especially when you use one to stab somebody in the eye! Her first big girl book was Jurassic Park in 4th grade and she’s been a sci-fi/horror book fan ever since. With her affinity for things with big teeth and biting habits, she also loves good (or really bad) zombie, vampire,.com and supernatural flicks. For the record, vampires don’t sparkle.

Tiney

Crazy Japanese school girl? Close, but not so much. More like crazy Chinese editor-turned-writer who may or may not have a couple of Japanese school uniforms in her closet. Tiney’s hobbies include playing video games, sewing and costuming, crocheting miniature Cthulhus, and preparing for the coming zombie apocalypse. If you get cornered… bash them in the head, that seems to work.
